Attending the Congress of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group Trade Union (Petrovietnam) were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Le Manh Hung - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group... and 100 excellent delegates representing more than 60,000 cadres, union members, and workers of the entire group.
The Congress is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of the workers' movement and the activities of the Group's Trade Union; an extensive political activity, demonstrating the will, belief and responsibility of the team of cadres, union members and workers for the sustainable development of Petrovietnam.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Manh Kha - Vice President in charge of Petrovietnam Trade Union emphasized that Petrovietnam Trade Union always affirms its role as a solid support, a source of spiritual motivation for workers, and at the same time, a positive factor in promoting creative labor emulation, contributing significantly to Petrovietnam's overall success.
Promoting the sense of responsibility, courage, dynamism and creativity, Petrovietnam Trade Union has proactively implemented many effective and timely accompanying solutions, achieving comprehensive and outstanding results in many areas: Carrying out well the work of caring for the welfare, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; Continuously innovating the content and methods of activities, arousing emulation of creative labor, promoting initiatives, improving techniques, promoting emulation on key projects and works of the Group;
Strengthen propaganda and education on politics and ideology, foster Petrovietnam culture, build a team of workers "Solidarity - Discipline - Creativity - Efficiency", contributing to the Group in excellently completing assigned political and production and business tasks; Building a team of union officials at all levels with courage, professionalism, enthusiasm, and intelligence, meeting the requirements of the new era.
The Congress approved 3 breakthroughs, including: Effective organization of emulation and innovation, emulation on key projects and works, creating a driving force for breakthroughs in labor - production, improving productivity, quality and operational efficiency of Petrovietnam; Strongly innovating the methods of operation in a professional, flexible and modern direction, meeting the requirements of the new situation, making breakthroughs in the application of technology and digital transformation into Trade Union activities; Concentrating resources to organize activities to care for and improve the welfare and material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
Among the targets with an annual strive for 100% of affiliated trade unions to build and implement patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the creative labor emulation movement. 100% of grassroots trade unions develop plans and implement inspection and supervision of trade union finance and assets...
One of the targets by the end of the term is that 100% of grassroots trade unions in the state-owned enterprise sector, at least 85% of non-state-owned grassroots trade unions with trade unions qualified to represent, negotiate, sign and implement Collective Labor Agreements according to regulations...
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong and Mr. Le Manh Hung both highly appreciated the results of the activities of the Petrovietnam Trade Union.
For the upcoming tasks, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong suggested that the Petrovietnam Trade Union focus on performing well the work of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, especially focusing on researching and advising the Party Committee, accompanying the professional team to build long-term, stable policies to care for union members and workers in the context of many challenges, difficulties, and unpredictability.

Lao Dong Newspaper congratulated Petrovietnam Trade Union on successfully organizing the 8th Congress, term 2025 - 2030, electing the Executive Committee of 25 people and Mr. Nguyen Manh Kha was elected as Chairman of Petrovietnam Trade Union.
