On April 22, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong attended the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2025 in Hau Giang.
Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang province; Mr. Tran Van Huyen - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province.
With the theme "Vietnamese workers entering a new era" and "Strengthening assessment of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) at the workplace", Workers' Month associated with the 2025 October of Action onOSH was officially launched from April 22 and ended on May 31.
Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Cong Khanh emphasized that the organization of activities in response to Workers' Month and Workers' Month on occupational safety and health in 2025 aims to propagate, encourage, motivate, and create new momentum and new momentum for union officials, union members, and workers to be determined, make great efforts, affirm the role, position, and contributions of workers - a pioneering force in the cause of national renewal, creative labor, and confidently enter a new era - the era of national growth.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang Province - proposed the Standing Committee of the provincial Labor Federation and the Trade Union levels in the province to strengthen the propaganda, creating a high consensus among trade unions, DV and employees in the province on arranging and merging the administrative units of the province and the commune level in accordance with the guidance of the provincial and the provincial government; extensive propaganda about the purpose and significance of the working month and the month of action on OSH in 2025.
Units need to focus on caring for and performing well the role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees; continue to innovate the content and forms of activities; regularly pay attention, listen, understand, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of employees; act resolutely and effectively in the face of issues that employees need.
At the same time, strengthen the implementation and good implementation of ensuring occupational safety and health; improve working conditions, proactively prevent and combat occupational accidents and diseases, especially for female workers.
On the occasion of the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and Workers' Month on occupational safety and Health, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong mobilized the Hai Phong City Labor Federation to donate 4 Trade Union Shelters, worth 200 million VND; Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee also presented 20 Trade Union Shelters, worth 1 billion VND to union members and workers in difficult housing circumstances. Hau Giang Provincial Labor Federation also presented 500 gifts, each worth 700,000 VND, to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, occupational diseases and work-related accidents.
