In the handbag and garment manufacturing industry with complex machinery characteristics, the issue of labor safety (ST) is always put first. For Mr. Le Hoan Giang, protecting workers (NLĐ) is not just about gloves or masks. He believes that a modern working environment, minimizing hazards, is the most sustainable value that the Trade Union needs to negotiate with business owners.
To realize that, Mr. Giang and the Trade Union Executive Committee have established a multi-channel dialogue mechanism. Not only is it an annual employee conference, he also fully utilizes suggestion boxes and direct listening sessions at the workshop.
Mr. Giang shared: "We do not sit and wait for workers to complain. The Trade Union proactively seeks out "hot spots" of noise, dust or safety risks... to promptly contact relevant departments to carry out the above remedies, as well as negotiate with the Board of Directors if necessary.
Therefore, the company not only equips standard protection equipment but also invests in periodic environmental measurement and inspection, and upgrades factories to reduce emissions and noise. The Trade Union also negotiated to increase meals from 18,000 to 20,000 VND, supplement gasoline allowances of 100,000 VND/month, maintain shuttle buses and many other benefits for workers.
Mr. Le Hoan Giang coordinates with the professional department to "ignite the fire" of the creative movement at Sedo Vinako. In the period 2023-2025, when businesses modernize machinery, he and his unit build practical initiative reward regulations (Kaizen), making technical improvements a direct right of workers.
