The Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Trade Union is managing over 62,000 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, of which the number of union members is 56,000 people, accounting for 90% of the total number of workers and civil servants working and living at 81 grassroots trade unions, mainly concentrated in industries in the industrial sector.
According to Mr. Pham Thai Duong - Chairman of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Trade Union, trade unions at all levels in Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones always identify building a party organization and developing a team of party members in non-state enterprises as an important task. On average, each grassroots trade union annually introduces at least 1 outstanding trade union member to the Party for consideration of admission to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
From 2023 to present, the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Trade Union has coordinated to organize 2 political theory training classes for 61 union officials and outstanding union members at affiliated grassroots unions. Based on the training course, each union member builds a correct motivation to join the Party, actively strives, trains and is given the attention, monitoring and guidance of the trade union and Party cell where they work to write an application to join the Party.
For places without Party organizations, the Party Cell of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Trade Union will directly guide, help, and consider the implementation of efforts, training, and upgrading. Up to now, the Party Cell of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Trade Union has had 7 outstanding workers admitted to the Party, bringing the total number of Party members of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Trade Union Party Cell to 10 Party members. In 2024, the grassroots union introduced 33 outstanding union members to the Party and 19 comrades were admitted to the Party.
The Trade Union of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks has actively participated with the Steering Committee for building Party organizations and unions in the non-state sector of the province, working with enterprises in Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks to survey and grasp the number of Party members working at enterprises, moving towards establishing a Party organization. In 2023 and 2024, 2 Party cells were established at non-state enterprises.
