In 2025, the province aims to send more than 1,000 workers to work abroad under contracts. Currently, the Employment Service Center (Department of Home Affairs) is actively implementing key programs, including: Skills internship program in Japan, EPS program ( jobs licensing program for foreign workers) in Korea, and expanding to a number of other markets.
From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Employment Service Center has supported training, organized interviews and labor recruitment exams. Of which, nearly 350 workers were recruited to work abroad under contracts. Currently, nearly 170 workers have left the country to work in Japan and Korea; the rest are urgently completing procedures.
Mr. Vo Duy Yen - Acting Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Employment Service Center said that the center has focused on improving the quality of training, especially foreign languages and skills in interviewing and entrance exams. Strengthen consulting to help workers have the opportunity to participate in high-income markets, such as Japan, Korea and some European countries.
Currently, Japan is a market with strong attraction due to its high income, ranging from 25 - 32 million VND/month; diverse occupations, such as nursing, household registration, construction, mechanical engineering, agriculture, etc., open up many opportunities for young workers in the province.
In the past 5 years, Quang Ngai province has sent more than 4,500 workers to work abroad under contracts, mainly focusing on markets such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China), and Arp Xeut. Thanks to that, it has opened up opportunities to help many workers who are poor, near-poor and ethnic minorities escape poverty sustainably.
"The province will continue to promote vocational training and foreign languages to improve the quality of labor resources and exports; orient career close to market demand. Strive to complete the goal of sending over 1,000 workers to work abroad under contracts in 2025" - Mr. Vo Duy Yen added.
