Clause 1, Article 6 of Decree 35/2024/ND-CP stipulates the rights of people awarded the title of Meritorious Teacher as follows:
Article 6. Rights and obligations of individuals who are conferred
1. Individuals awarded the title of "People's Teacher", "Excellent Teacher" will receive the President's Badge, Certificate, bonuses and benefits according to the provisions of law.
2. Obligated to preserve the rewards.
3. Continue to promote moral qualities, constantly improve knowledge and pedagogical talent, operate professionally, and be a shining example for learners and colleagues to follow.
Thus, individuals awarded the title of Meritorious Teacher will receive the President's Badge, Certificate, bonuses and the above rights and obligations.
According to Article 52 of Decree 152/2025/ND-CP (effective from July 1, 2025), individuals awarded the title of "Excellent Teacher" will be awarded a Badge, a container of Badge, a Certificate of Merit, a framework and a bonus of 9.0 times the basic salary.
According to Decree 73/2024/ND-CP, the current basic salary is 2,340,000 VND/month.
Thus, teachers who achieve the title of Meritorious Teacher will be rewarded with VND 21,060,000.
