A bonding affection from practical concerns
Every last Sunday of the month, when many workers take a break after a week of work, union members and the Board of Directors of Mega Surplus VN Shoes Co., Ltd. visit the workers' homes to visit, give gifts and listen to their thoughts and aspirations.
Having been with the company for more than 3 years, Ms. Tieu Ngoc My, a completion department worker, said that her income ranges from 7 - 8 million VND/month, depending on productivity.
Not only does it have a stable income, what makes me love and stick with the company is the thoughtful regime and benefits. From maternity leave, leave in accordance with regulations, to holidays and Tet, everyone has gifts - which are very practical such as super-fast warmers, umbrellas, raincoats, wall tones, rice, noodles, necessities, Ms. My shared.
Sharing the same feeling, according to Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Trinh, she previously worked at a number of other companies, with many jobs but limited benefits. When she returned to work at Mega Shoes, she felt more secure because the company provided her with full attention both materially and spiritually. Every time the Trade Union visits her, she sees the workers being respected.
With this approach, the Board of Directors and the Trade Union always listen, create favorable conditions for workers to work with peace of mind, while ensuring legitimate rights.
"I hope the house visiting activity will be maintained for a long time. When the Trade Union comes to their residence, ask about their circumstances and encourage them, workers clearly feel the care not only at work but also in family life. Employee attachment comes not only from income but also from sharing and sincere care. We consider ourselves a part of the Mega Surplus extended family. Each gift, each greeting brings motivation to try harder every day, Ms. Trinh expressed.
Significant activities, connecting workers and businesses
According to Mr. Truong Hoang Huynh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Mega Surplus VN Shoes Co., Ltd., the activity of visiting and giving gifts to union members and workers at their residence has been implemented since August 2023. As of October 2025, 267 workers have been visited and given gifts by the delegation. Each gift is worth 700,000 VND, and families with spouses working at the company alone receive 1 million VND.
Mr. Huynh said: "Every month, we select 7 to 8 union members with special circumstances, or away from home, to directly visit and encourage them. Thereby, the Trade Union can better grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers, while helping the board of directors better understand the lives of workers to have appropriate policies". According to Mr. Huynh, this activity is not only material support but also a channel to connect businesses and workers, helping to build a humane and close corporate culture.
When workers feel cared for, they will work with a sense of responsibility and stick together. That is the sustainable value that the company is aiming for, Mr. Huynh emphasized.
On the enterprise's side, Ms. Si Ju-Fang - Director of Mega Surplus VN Shoes Co., Ltd. - shared: the company currently has more than 1,200 workers, operating stably, producing shoe products for export to many markets.
We always consider workers as our most valuable asset. Each visit and gift-giving program has a meaningful connection, spreading the spirit of sharing and caring for each worker's family. In the near future, the company will expand production scale, create more jobs for local people, and continue to coordinate with the Trade Union to better care for workers," said Ms. Si Ju-Fang.
