In the past year, facing the difficulties that union members and workers encountered, Thai Thuy District Union has promoted activities to care for union members and workers.
On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024, the District Trade Union presented 1,123 gifts to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances with a total amount of nearly 800 million VND. The District Trade Union also advised the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district to present 20 gifts worth 10 million VND; the District Union presented 5 gifts worth 2.5 million VND; the District Red Cross Society presented 10 gifts worth 3 million VND; the District Labor Federation presented 20 gifts to new recruits in difficult circumstances worth 10 million VND; coordinated with the Red Cross Society to visit and support 3 union members with serious illnesses with an amount of 12 million VND.
On the occasion of Workers' Month 2024, the District Trade Union presented gifts to 95 workers in especially difficult circumstances with a total amount of 28.5 million VND; organized to commend and reward 95 outstanding trade union officials and workers with a total amount of over 66 million VND; 20 enterprise trade unions implemented Workers' Month activities and presented gifts to 235 workers with a total amount of 35.5 million VND. In addition, the organization awarded funds to support the construction of "Union Shelter" houses for 33 union members with an amount of 150 million VND; supported 7 workers in difficult circumstances due to the impact of storm No. 3 with an amount of 21 million VND...
The district trade union also coordinated with the district cultural and sports center to successfully organize the 2024 Open Football Tournament for Workers and Employees with the participation of 102 athletes; coordinated with the district education and training department to organize a dance and singing festival for teachers and students in the district.
Along with that, the District Trade Union coordinated to organize a talk on gender health care for over 400 union officials; coordinated to organize health check-ups for nearly 500 union officials and union members of district agencies; trained in trade union inspection for over 600 grassroots trade union officials. Grassroots trade unions organized health check-ups for over 3,000 female workers.
To encourage children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies, the District Union awarded 96 gifts to children who were excellent students at all levels and who overcame difficulties to excel in their studies with a total amount of over 45 million VND...
At the summary conference, 15 individuals received medals for their union career; 25 groups; 33 individuals received emulation flags and certificates of merit from the Union at all levels.

Accordingly, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, trade unions at all levels in the district took care of 21,635 union members and workers with a total amount of over 5.7 billion VND; the whole district organized 17 programs "Tet sum vay - Xuan chia chia" with the participation of over 20,000 union members, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere for workers.
During Workers' Month, the district union at all levels presented 10,5044 gifts worth 1.3 billion VND to union members in especially difficult circumstances, who had work-related accidents or occupational diseases; the district union coordinated to examine, provide health consultation, and give Vitamin C to 636 union members; 20 union branches proposed that business leaders organize health examinations for 17,707 workers; 9 union branches coordinated with employers to organize "Union meals" for 4,247 workers, with meal values ranging from 50,000 VND to 100,000 VND/meal.
