According to Major Tran Xuan Lam - Head of the Department H08 Trade Union, the Department's Trade Union currently has 7 affiliated grassroots trade unions, 1 member grassroots trade union, 18 departmental trade unions and 75 trade union groups.
The majority of union members of Department H08 are contract workers working at security enterprises under Department H08 in many production fields such as: production of support tools, professional electronic equipment; production of weapons, explosives, production of military and defense products...
Implementing the annual plan for developing party members and the directives of superiors, trade union organizations at all levels in Department H08 are always proactive in organizing learning, caring for, fostering, propagating, educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and corporate culture for the younger generation, launching emulation movements.
At the same time, creating a source of development of new party members, developing a plan to take care of training, fostering and helping the elite masses into the Party. Through practical and specific activities, trade unions at all levels in the system have created a healthy environment for the elite and mature masses, contributing to the formation of revolutionary ideals, pure morality, awareness of compliance with the law, strengthening the confidence in the leadership of the Party and the development path of the country and the industry.
The Trade Union and the grassroots trade union levels often coordinate closely with the committees and leaders of the unit to organize many programs and activities towards raising political awareness for workers. The thematic activities, seminars and training are organized regularly, creating favorable conditions for union members and workers to approach the Party's guidelines and policies ... Thereby, the guidelines, views and guidelines of the Party come to life, contributing to further raising the awareness and actions of each cadre, party member, union members and workers.
From 2021-2025, the Trade Union of the Department organized 5 training courses to foster trade union for 420 trade union officials from the group level upwards, thereby, improving the professional activities of trade union officials at all levels to implement, operate and organize the operation of trade unions at the unit. The grassroots trade unions have proposed the Party Committee and the authorities to send 405 turns of union members to take the courses on theoretical and professional training, improving their qualifications and skills to meet the production labor requirements for the unit.
Regarding the participation in Party building of the H08 Trade Union, from 2021-2025, grassroots trade unions have trained and introduced 143 outstanding union members to Party cells for consideration of admission; 88 union members and workers have been admitted to the Party cells by Party cells.
