Towards the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), on July 26, the Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation said that the Management Board of the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch in Long An (old) coordinated with the Trade Union of Privina Company Limited to organize a house-granting ceremony for "Union Shelter" to union members with difficult housing circumstances.
Union member Nguyen Thi Nhan (residing in Hamlet 1, Doc Binh Kieu Commune, Dong Thap Province) was presented with a spacious house with a construction area of 85 square meters (17-meter long, 5 m wide), a solid structure including foundation and reinforced concrete columns, walls, thick roof and cement paving.
The total cost of building the house was 140 million VND, of which the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch in Long An (old) supported 70 million VND, the rest was contributed by family and relatives with help on working days.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hoai Thanh - Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation and Mr. Tran Van Hoa - former Vice Chairman of Tan An City Labor Federation (old Long An province), Deputy Head of the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union, along with representatives of enterprises and grassroots trade unions. The units also sent Ms. Nhan's family many practical gifts, congratulating her on having a new house as a support for settling down, stabilizing life and working with peace of mind.
The support for building shelters for union member Nguyen Thi Nhan clearly demonstrates the accompanying and sharing role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of workers. This is not only a precious material gift but also a great spiritual encouragement, helping union members overcome difficulties, towards a stable life and sustainable development.
