On February 6th, at the Provincial Labor Culture House (Long Xuyen ward), the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation organized the "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" program in 2026. At the program, Tet gifts were presented to union members and workers (NLĐ) in Long Xuyen ward and neighboring wards in difficult circumstances.
Attending the program was Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Do Tran Thinh - Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation - said that with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", this year the Provincial Labor Federation has focused resources to present 12,500 gifts worth 12.5 billion VND to take care of Tet for union members and workers, accounting for over 10% of the total number of union members in the province. This is the highest level of care ever (in previous years, the average was about 8 - 10%), showing the determination and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in the context that the lives and jobs of a part of workers are still facing many difficulties.
At the program, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation directly presented 300 Tet gifts, each worth 1 million VND (including cash and gifts), to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, contributing to encouraging and sharing so that they can celebrate Tet warmly and meaningfully.
Speaking to direct at the program, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong praised and highly appreciated the efforts of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation in caring for the lives of union members and workers; and at the same time acknowledged and praised the diligent and creative labor spirit of union members and workers throughout the province, which has made important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province in difficult conditions, especially after the province's merger process.
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong emphasized that in 2026, the socio-economic situation is forecast to continue to face many difficulties and challenges, therefore calling on officials, union members, and workers throughout the province to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, labor and production emulation, and successfully complete the tasks and socio-economic development targets according to the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress.
At the same time, requesting sectors and levels to continue to closely coordinate with the Provincial Labor Federation, strengthen inspection and supervision of labor law compliance at enterprises; pay attention to caring for life and jobs so that all union members and workers have Tet and celebrate Tet. Ms. Huong also requested the business community to continue to care for and take care of life, ensure legitimate and lawful rights and interests for workers, and build harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations at enterprises.
Within the framework of the "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" Program in 2026, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation also organized many cultural and artistic activities and awarded prizes for folk games, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere, contributing to bringing a complete Tet both materially and spiritually for union members and workers.
