On May 30, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Bac Giang province held a conference to announce the decision to establish grassroots trade unions for 7 enterprises operating in the area, with a total of 774 union members, including 337 female union members. The event marked the strong development of the workers' movement and trade union activities in the province's industrial parks.
7 units were established with grassroots trade unions including: Mic-Power New Energy Vietnam Co., Ltd., Lot Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), Jinhong Gas Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), Aishi Optics Vietnam Co., Ltd., Hengchang Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd., Dreamotiv Electronics Co., Ltd. and Sunpla Joint Stock Company.
Attending and directing the conference were Mr. Nguyen Van Canh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Canh congratulated the 7 newly established grassroots trade unions and highly appreciated the spirit of coordination and facilitation of employers, as well as the persistent efforts of the trade union staff in propagating and mobilizing workers to join the trade union organization.
The establishment of grassroots trade unions in enterprises not only contributes to strengthening trade union organizations, but is also an important premise for building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at the workplace. This is a key factor to sustainably develop businesses and ensure the legitimate rights of workers, Mr. Nguyen Van Canh emphasized.
The Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor requested the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union to continue to accompany and guide new grassroots trade unions to develop operating regulations, improve the organization, and organize emulation movements well, taking care of workers' lives.
The Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor also emphasized the pioneering role of trade unions in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers in the context of an increasingly fluctuating labor market.
Representing the Provisional Executive Committee of the 7 grassroots trade unions, Ms. Lai Thi Yen - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Hengchang Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. - spoke, accepting the direction and commitment to strive to fulfill the role of the trade union organization from the very beginning of its establishment.
"We understand that the responsibility placed on our shoulders is very great. The Provisional Executive Committee of the grassroots trade unions will try to gradually build a strong organization, closely connect with union members and workers, proactively coordinate with employers to promptly resolve recommendations, creating a stable, safe and civilized working environment for workers, Ms. Lai Thi Yen expressed.
On this occasion, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Bac Giang province presented 35 gifts to members of the newly established grassroots trade union Executive Committee, demonstrating the timely concern and encouragement of the superior trade union for grassroots trade union cadres. These are not only material gifts, but also a source of spiritual encouragement, adding motivation to the young and enthusiastic team of union officials.
The event of establishing 7 new grassroots trade unions is a vivid testament to the effectiveness of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions of the trade union organization of Bac Giang province, especially in the non-state sector.
In the coming time, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Bac Giang province will continue to implement training and professional development programs for grassroots trade union officials; guide units to develop regulations for coordination with enterprises; at the same time organize cultural and sports activities, practically care for workers' lives, gradually building a dynamic, modern and effective image of grassroots trade unions.
