The worker dormitory project of Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company, Ha Lam ward (former Ha Long City) is built on an area of 3,738 m2, including 1 15-story building block (1 semi-basement floor, 14 above-ground floors and attic floor), total floor area of about 16,826 m2.
The project arranges 377 apartments, each apartment with an area of 23.7 - 24.6 m2, meeting the 1 person/apartment model; and synchronously invests in technical infrastructure including internal traffic, electricity supply, water supply - drainage, wastewater treatment station, fire prevention and fighting system, green trees and auxiliary works. The total investment of the project is 270.4 billion VND, using commercial loan capital and other legally mobilized capital sources of the Company. The project is expected to be completed and put into use in the fourth quarter of 2028.
Currently, Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company has more than 3,300 officials, workers, and laborers, including 1,426 miners, many workers from provinces and cities across the country.
Meanwhile, the existing collective housing system with 147 rooms has exploited almost maximum capacity, not meeting the increasing needs of workers, especially mine workers far from home.
The investment in building collective accommodation areas is not only aimed at meeting the increasing housing needs of workers but also contributes to improving the quality of material and spiritual life, creating a civilized and modern living environment, helping workers feel secure and stick with the business for a long time.
This is also one of the important solutions for the Company to attract and retain the team of underground miners, ensuring human resources to serve the production development strategy in the coming years.
Previously, in 2025, TKV's affiliated units in Quang Ninh started construction of 2 worker housing projects at Khe Cham Coal Company (Cam Pha Coal Region) and Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company (Ha Long Coal Region).
In which, the collective housing project for workers of Khe Cham Coal Company in Mong Duong ward has a scale of 1 basement, 11 above-ground floors and 1 attic floor, with 360 closed apartments, designed according to the model of 1 person/apartment, fully equipped with living facilities. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
Meanwhile, the underground worker collective housing project of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company in Ha Tu ward has a scale of 1 basement floor, 11 above-ground floors with 389 closed rooms. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
