Speaking at the Forum "Trade Union members study and follow Uncle Ho's ideology, ethics, and style to compete in good labor, high productivity, and good income", Mr. Luu Van Nhiem, a trade union member of Saigon STEC Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation) said that for him personally, studying and following Uncle Ho is starting from the simplest things: "Work more responsibly - Practice more thriftily - Work better, be more creative" so that every day of labor creates value for businesses, for society and for his own life.

According to Mr. Nhiem, he has been attached to Saigon STEC Co., Ltd. for nearly 16 years. As a direct production worker, he always believes that to have a stable job, high productivity and increasingly better income, in addition to diligence and hard work, workers must constantly practice their skills, compete in good labor, promote creativity and know how to practice thrift in each daily job.
“The thing I appreciate most when studying and following Uncle Ho is the spirit of practicing thrift and combating wastefulness. Uncle Ho once advised: “A nation that knows diligence, thrift, and integrity is a nation rich in material things, strong in spirit, is a civilized and progressive nation”. For production workers like us, thrift is not only saving money, but also saving time, human resources, raw materials and even labor. Each operation is more reasonable, each stage is improved to be more effective, all contributing to improving productivity, reducing costs and creating more value for businesses as well as for workers themselves,” Mr. Nhiem said.
From that thought, in the process of working, Mr. Nhiem always worked with his brothers to find ways to improve work to be more efficient, streamlined and more economical. In the period 2025-2026, he and the collective of employees in the company actively participated in the movement "good labor, creative labor" launched by the trade union with more than 800 initiatives and improvements applied to actual production. In which, he personally has 2 typical initiatives and improvements deployed in series on machines with the stage of importing Stiffener raw materials into the workshop, contributing to reducing the operating time of machine operators, reducing costs for businesses, and improving productivity.
Mr. Nhiem affirmed that, from his own reality, he realizes that any worker can be creative and creative if conditions are created and encouraged properly. The most important thing is to build a sense of responsibility and thrift in each worker. When workers see the development of the business as their own stability, they will be more responsible for each operation, each raw material and each working hour.
I believe that when the spirit of practicing thrift according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology is widely spread among workers, it will create a very large source of motivation to improve labor productivity, increase competitiveness for businesses and contribute to national development," Mr. Nhiem emphasized.
