Party members go first and follow the country

For workers who are Party members, the Party is a place to practice their will, a motivation for them to strive tirelessly and always improve their spirit of setting an example and being responsible.

Ms. Do Thi Thuy, a worker in the production team - fashion design department, Garment Corporation 10 - JSC, is one of 10 outstanding individuals honored among 95 employees who are party members. Always ready to take on difficult tasks, she proactively finds ways to optimize production, help the product pass quickly, and ensure quality. With a spirit of effort and creativity, Ms. Thuy constantly strives, is exemplary, maintains the qualities of a Party member, worthy of the trust of her colleagues and the organization.

Also one of the 95 people honored, Mr. Tran Quang Khai - Party Cell Secretary, Chairman of the Trade Union, Head of the Ball Steering Department, Fujikin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Hanoi) tried his best to be worthy of the Party's trust and successfully complete all assigned tasks. In an FDI enterprise, and the Party Cell Secretary of a 100% foreign-owned enterprise, Mr. Khai had to try much harder. Currently, the Company's Party Cell has 8 Party members. As Party Cell Secretary, Mr. Khai is always a person of encouragement, reminding his comrades to live and work worthy of being a Party member, to become an example for the masses. Because "the honor of standing in the ranks of the Party must be made even more efforts to be worthy of the trust of the Party, to successfully complete all assigned tasks", Mr. Khai said.

Special guidance on Party cell activities in non-state enterprises is needed

The work of developing Party members among workers is a key task, actively implemented by Trade Unions at all levels to affirm their role in building the Party and the political system. In 2025, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor identified this as a key issue with the theme "Year of developing union members, participating in building a clean and strong Party".

For many terms, the Union has always built a target of developing party members among union members and employees as an important annual political task.

For the 2018 - 2023 term, trade unions at all levels have introduced more than 700,000 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of training and admission, an increase of 1.8 times compared to the 2013 - 2018 term. Of which, nearly 400,000 outstanding union members have been admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam, an increase of 1.4 times compared to the 2013 - 2018 term.

In 2024 alone, 5.06 million union members and workers were disseminated the Party's resolutions, policies and laws of the State; the Trade Unions at all levels introduced 158,813 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of training and admission. Of which, the number of outstanding union members introduced by the Union to be admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam is 80,327 comrades.

To achieve the above results, the Trade Unions at all levels have stepped up propaganda, political training, and dissemination of policies and guidelines, associated with studying and following Uncle Ho. At the same time, organize traditional activities, drink water to remember the source, celebrate major holidays and important events of the Party and the country.

However, the development of Party organizations and Party members in non-state enterprises still faces some difficulties such as propaganda and education to raise political awareness for union members in enterprises is still limited; the rate of admission of Party members who are employees introduced by trade unions in some localities is not high...

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, to overcome this situation, the Central Organizing Committee needs to direct provincial and municipal Party committees and Party committees to continue to pay attention to leading and directing lower-level Party committees, local authorities, local and sectoral Trade Union organizations to promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions and perform well the task of participating in Party building, especially training and selecting outstanding union members who are workers in non-state enterprises to introduce to the Party for consideration of training and admission to the Communist Party of Vietnam in 2025.

Also from reality, the Union proposed to develop a separate guideline on Party cell activities in non-state-owned enterprises, because the content of the current Instruction No. 12-HD/BTCTW dated July 6, 2018 of the Central Organizing Committee is only suitable for Party cells in the administrative sector, public service, and State-owned enterprises, not suitable for Party cells in non-state-owned enterprises.

Building and developing party organizations and party members in all types of enterprises must attach importance to both quantity and quality, linking the construction and consolidation of party organizations and party development with the implementation of Resolution 6 of the Central Committee, 10th tenure on "continuing to build the Vietnamese working class in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country"; closely combining the construction, consolidation and development of the party organization with promoting education, fostering and admitting new party members and improving the quality of the party members.
