Reporting at the working session, Mr. Vo Khac Thai - City Party Committee Member, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that regarding institutions for workers and laborers in the new situation, the unit has reported and proposed to rearrange them according to the model of city trade unions, ward trade unions and special trade unions that are export processing zones and industrial parks. At the same time, focus on completing the digital data system of the trade union organization.
Regarding cultural institutions, on the basis of land and houses of the City Labor Federation, the unit currently retains 7 locations for repair, upgrade and put into operation.

In Workers' Month 2026, programs will be organized such as Workers' Youth Week, Workers' Children's Week, caring for workers' children and workers with illnesses, weak health or occupational accidents. It is expected to attract about 400,000 participants.
In addition, during Workers' Month, housing care will be focused on with the Trade Union Shelter program. Regarding health, the unit has signed with 7 hospitals to screen for diseases for workers. Notably, this month, the unit will prioritize the implementation of cervical cancer screening for 50,000 female workers using new technology, expected to start from May 10.
Regarding worker accommodation, the unit has signed agreements with 4 partners, committing to develop about 100,000 houses, of which more than 50,000 are rental and lease-purchase houses. The city trade union participates in 2 forms: lease and lease-purchase.
Regarding difficulties, Mr. Vo Khac Thai said that the housing demand of businesses and workers is large but the ability to meet it is still limited. The development of social housing still faces difficulties in materials, labor and legal procedures. Therefore, it is proposed that the city have policies on interest rates, progress, and legal procedures to support investors, and at the same time, create conditions for workers to easily access housing.

Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City proposed that the City Labor Federation review and supplement specific targets, including the target of 100% of female workers being screened for cervical cancer, which was just discussed at today's working session.
Speaking at the conclusion of the working session, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City proposed that after today's working session, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation organize a meeting to fully absorb the directing opinions.
After 1 week, announce the trade union's preparation program on caring for union members and workers with the motto of taking the benefit of workers and laborers as the center; building a team of reputable trade union officials, on par with the key tasks; building a strong trade union organization, a reliable friend of workers performing important and regular tasks.
These 3 major goals are the concretization of the implementation of the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam when visiting Ho Chi Minh City and meeting with city workers recently.
To implement effectively, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc proposed that the City Labor Federation review and strive to advise to have a smooth operating mechanism; the operating mechanism must be synchronized throughout the political system, with the chairmanship and coordination of the trade union; clearly define mechanisms, institutions and implementation organization models...
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that after the working session, the trade union organization needs to systemize into institutions and announce. For example, through the race to improve the physical health of workers, the unit mobilizes contributions to the funding of the health care program for workers and announces that 100% of female workers are screened for cervical cancer.

Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that the unit fully absorbed the directing opinions and supplemented them to the task of Workers' Month as well as activities in the coming time.
