On August 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation's Area Management Working Group No. 5 organized a scholarship award ceremony for students who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, but strive to overcome difficulties and study well.
Thereby, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation awarded 25 scholarships from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund, each worth 1 million VND to 25 students with excellent academic achievements, despite difficult and arduous circumstances.
Previously, representatives of Vietcombank Phu My Branch presented a symbol of 50 scholarships worth 1 million VND/scholarship to the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund. The Trade Union awarded 25 scholarships to students in Ngai Giao commune on August 21.
In addition, on this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation's Area Management Working Group No. 5 also organized the awarding of 20 Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships at the city level, worth 1 million VND/scholarship to 20 students in the area.
Ms. Pham Thu Huong - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - commented that awarding scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, at the time when the new school year is approaching, is very meaningful, showing affection, sharing and is also part of the responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards the future kindergartens of the country.
"Although the scholarships are not of great material value, they are the trust and expectation of the Trade Union and society. Hopefully, they will see it as a source of encouragement, a spiritual baggage to continue studying, practicing, and nurturing their dreams," said Ms. Huong.
