On August 21, the Trade Union of Ngai Giao Commune (HCMC) in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) and the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund, representatives of Vietcombank Phu My Branch (HCMC) organized a scholarship awarding program for students in difficult circumstances who have studied well in the area.
In the program, Mr. Tran Tien Chuong - Deputy Director of Vietcombank Phu My Branch - represented the delegation to present a symbol of 50 scholarships, worth 50 million VND to representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund.
Thereby, the Ngai Giao Commune Trade Union awarded 25 scholarships to students who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, but have strived to achieve good academic results.
Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa (born in 2007, student of Ngo Quyen High School) is a student who received a scholarship from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund. Hoa's situation was very difficult when her father passed away early, and she stayed there to raise her child with a low income from workers' wages. However, Hoa has achieved excellent academic results in the past school year.
"The scholarship will help me ease some of my difficulties in my study path in the coming time, especially when I enter university. I would like to thank the attention and support of the Trade Union organization and the strong and regular soldiers" - Hoa shared.
In a similar situation to her father who died early and raised her child alone, Nguyen Phuong Lam (born in 2011, a student at Chau Duc Secondary School) also received a scholarship from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund this time. The scholarship also adds luggage for Lam to enter her senior year.
Mr. Tran Tien Chuong - Deputy Director of Vietcombank Phu My Branch, representative of the strong unit accompanying the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund - shared that accompanying and supporting scholarships to children in difficult circumstances but with the spirit of striving to overcome difficulties, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and sharing difficulties with children.
I think not only us but everyone will be happy and joyful when they have the opportunity to continue going to school, studying more knowledge to have a better life. This work is not only meaningful to them, but also brings joy and happiness to each of us, Vietcombank is always committed to accompanying the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund to support them in their abilities - Mr. Chuong said.

With the support of benefactors and philanthropists, it has brought warmth and motivation to many students to continue to walk firmly on the path of study.
The scholarships awarded today not only have material value, but also convey the trust and expectations of the Trade Union organization and the whole society to the children, the future generation of the country. Hopefully, they will continue to strive to study well, to become useful citizens for society" - Mr. Hung said.
