11 typical engineers and workers, with many technical innovations, many practical scientific research topics, applied to the production and business process, were awarded the 25th Ton Duc Thang Award, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in coordination with Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on the morning of February 4.
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Dang Minh Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
The Ton Duc Thang Award is a city-level award presented to typical engineers and workers who have many technical innovations, many practical scientific research topics, applied to the production and business process, saving and benefiting businesses hundreds of billions of VND each year.

Typically, the initiative of Mainboard TV's software control smart system solution (PBA Main SW) by Mr. Nguyen Tang Phap - Head of Production Quality Improvement Department of Samsung HCMC CE Complex Electronics Co., Ltd. (SEHC) - helps companies and suppliers avoid misusing software to prevent incidents from occurring during production, saving costs for the company of about 100,000 USD/year. Mr. Phap's initiatives from 2022 to February 2025, benefited the company about 432,456 USD, equivalent to nearly 17 billion VND.
Or like the initiative of a voltage transfer circuit for relays to choose the closing/cutting time of the 500kV power line cross-substation at the 500kV Song May substation by engineer Nguyen Van Tan - Power Transmission Company 4, National Power Transmission Corporation - benefiting the business by 6.2 billion VND. With Mr. Tan's 21 initiatives and technical improvements, the business has benefited more than 15 billion VND/year.
And the initiative to research and apply IoT technology integrated in smart helmets and smart glasses in the management and operation of power grid systems, ensuring safety and training by engineer Tran Phuong Kiet, Ho Chi Minh City High Voltage Power Grid Company, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation benefits businesses by more than 5.6 billion VND.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit, symbols of the Ton Duc Thang Award, and a prize worth 50 million VND/person to 11 typical engineers and workers.
