At the meeting, Comrade Bui Van Han Em - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee - directly reported on the topic, clarifying the concept of culture according to Ho Chi Minh's thought associated with social life.
According to the report, culture is a combination of material and spiritual values created by humans to meet the needs of survival and development; cultural construction must be linked to human development and community development.
Over the past time, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has achieved many positive results, contributing to the formation of human character, promoting family and community values, and improving the spiritual life of the people.
However, the report also pointed out some limitations such as morality and lifestyle of a part of the population showing signs of degradation; social evils are still developing complicatedly, affecting the cultural environment.
In the field of politics and economy, building culture associated with training cadres' ethics, building a healthy business environment; but there is still a situation of degradation and irresponsibility in some places.
To overcome this, the workshop emphasized improving the effectiveness of propaganda, promoting the role of families and communities; building a contingent of cadres with bravery and ethics, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.
In addition, it is necessary to continue to improve institutions, innovate management, promote digital transformation in the cultural field; build a healthy cultural environment, and develop people comprehensively and sustainably.
