On July 11, the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union (VTC) said that in recent times, industry trade unions have directed trade unions at all levels to coordinate with counter-level authorities to organize the implementation of the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level and the Instruction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on Trade Unions Participating in Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level.
247/274 agencies, units and enterprises have organized conferences of cadres, civil servants and conferences of employees (NLD) at a rate of 90.14%; effectively implemented negotiations and signings (grassroots trade unions in the enterprise sector have signed 198 collective labor agreements - Collective labor agreements) and organized the implementation of signed collective labor agreements. 100% of collective labor agreements in all units have provisions that are more beneficial to employees than those under current labor law. The content of the Collective Labor Agreement shows more specifically and clearly the obligations and rights of employers and employees.
Accordingly, VNPT Trade Union has developed a general policy for female workers on maternity leave, with one-time support (in addition to social insurance payment) of 10 million VND, in case of twins or more, from the second child onwards, for each child, an additional 5 million VND is supported; the policy to support in-depth gynecological examination for female workers in the age group under 40 is 250,000 VND/person/year, for the age group over 40 is 650,000 VND/person/year.
The Trade Union of the Radio Frequency Department has developed regulations on additional support for female employees on maternity leave from funds (salary fund, welfare fund) to ensure that women's income is about 50-70% of their salary and income while working.
The Central Post Office Trade Union has considered raising the salary scale for workers and civil servants based on the level of complexity and efficiency of the work and the level of work completion. For female workers during maternity leave and raising young children, the level of complexity and work efficiency will not be reviewed...
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the implementation of democratic regulations in the operation of State administrative agencies and public service units has attracted the attention of agencies and units; there have been: 76/76 agencies and units organizing conferences for cadres and civil servants at a rate of 100%; 100% of agencies and units have established Steering Committees to implement grassroots democracy regulations; 100% of agencies and units have People's Inspection Committees and supplemented operating regulations such as: Financial disclosure regulations, internal spending regulations, recruitment regulations...
For enterprises, the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations at the workplace is of interest to Party committees and leaders. The number of enterprises organizing labor conferences is 171/198 enterprises, reaching a rate of: 86.36%.
The Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union manages 274 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with 83,145 union members; of which, it directly directs 25 affiliated trade unions, including 05 trade unions at the grassroots level and 20 affiliated grassroots trade unions.
