Attending the Congress were Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung - former member of the Party Central Committee, former President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, member of the University Council; Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hong - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City College Bloc with 100 official delegates and 66 invited delegates.
The 4th Ton Duc Thang University Party Congress, term 2025-2030, is a particularly important milestone in the development process of TDTU; encouraging, motivating, and orienting all staff, lecturers, workers, and students of the school to continue to unite, strive, overcome difficulties and challenges to build TDTU to develop more and more sustainably; celebrate the 30th anniversary of the school's founding (September 24, 1997 - September 24, 2027) and successfully implement the goals of the 4th 5-year School Development Plan for the period 2025 - 2030.
In the 2020 - 2025 term, the school's Party Committee has led and directed the successful implementation of the set tasks, especially political tasks, Party building... In particular, the achievements in education, training, scientific research, ranking, testing...
TDTU continues to maintain and achieve high rankings on international and regional university rankings such as: Top 100 in the world for sustainable development; 95/1,023 in the ranking and top of Vietnamese educational institutions for interdisciplinary scientific research in 2025; Top 200 best universities in Asia; Top 200 best young universities in the world; Top 601-800 best educational institutions globally THE by 2024...
To date, the whole school has 22 research groups in many different fields. The total number of scientific articles published on the WoS/Scopus database from 2020 to present is 7,586 articles (as of January-December 2024); 10 patents issued by the United States Patent and Tradact Office (USPTO) ...
TDTU has 2 international journals, in which the Journal of Information and Telecommunication (JIT) has been included in the WoS database (ESCI, Q1) with an Impact Factor (IF) of 2.7; the Journal of Advanced Engineering and Computation (JAEC) has been given 1 point by the State Council of Professors of Mechanical Engineering.
To date, the school has successfully organized 70 international seminars, and in the 5-year period of the past term alone, it has successfully organized 32 international seminars.
The 4th Congress of the Ton Duc Thang University Party Committee set out the direction and goals for the 2025-2030 term, notably the general goal of converting Ton Duc Thang University into Ton Duc Thang University by 2030 and the target of 100% of the school's regular university training programs being assessed according to international standards.
The Congress also elected 13 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Ton Duc Thang University Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Vu Anh Duc holds the position of Party Committee Secretary.
