The Law on Social Insurance 2024 has added additional subjects to participate in the compulsory social insurance benefits to the sickness allowance compared to the provisions of the 2014 Social Insurance Law, specifically:
- People working under indefinite term labor contracts, labor contracts that have a deadline for a period of 1 month or more, including cases where the employee and the employer negotiate with other names but the content of the employment is paid, the salary and the management, administration and supervision of one party;
- People working under indefinite term labor contracts, labor contracts that are determined terms of terms within 1 month or more working without full time, with salary in the month equal to or higher than salary as a basis for the lowest compulsory social insurance payment;
- Business household households of business households have business registration to participate in accordance with the Government's regulations;
- Part -time operating people at commune levels, villages and residential quarters;
- Business managers, controllers, representatives of state capital, representative of the capital of the enterprise in accordance with the law; Members of the Board of Directors, General Director, Director, Member of the Supervisory Board or Supervisor and other management titles elected by cooperatives, cooperatives Union in accordance with the Law on Cooperatives do not receive wages.
The Law on Social Insurance 2024 takes effect from 1.7.2025.
