According to ManpowerGroup Vietnam's 2025 salary guidelines, positions related to digital transformation are being sought after the most, with a high demand for human resources with good automation skills and AI application. This trend is clearly affected by the global digital transformation wave. According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), AI can create up to 97 million new jobs worldwide in 2025. As Vietnam moves towards a high-value production model, the requirement for quality human resources becomes even more urgent.
According to ManpowerGroup Vietnam, the 3 biggest barriers for businesses in the Asia - Pacific region when applying AI include: high investment costs (42%), unskillful workers in using AI (36%), concerns about privacy and regulations (34%).
In addition, many businesses also have difficulty determining which positions can apply AI or how to train staff to exploit this technology effectively.
According to the 2025 Salary Guidelines of Manpower Group Vietnam, the salary outlook is positive in most industries. Notably, the maximum salary for some positions with over 5 years of experience is predicted to increase by about 500 USD/month in 2025 compared to 2024.
The Finance - Banking sector leads other sectors in salary levels; closely followed by digitalization and Technology. Human resources holding senior management and management roles in the Finance - Banking industry have salaries ranging from 8,000 USD to 15,000 USD/month.
The average annual salary increase is also expected to fluctuate strongly between sectors. The Logistics and Supply Chain sector has the highest annual salary increase, in the range of 10% - 20%. In contrast, the salary increase for the Consumer Goods & Retail industry is quite modest, only 3% - 7%.
