At the meeting, delegates presented 100 gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to employees of Vang Danh Coal Company. Each gift included 2 million VND in cash and 1 gift.
Speaking at the visit, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council - expressed his joy at being present at Vang Danh Coal Company, a Heroic Labor Unit in the Renovation Period, with a tradition of more than 60 years of construction and development; is the unit with the largest scale and underground coal output of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group, making an important contribution to making the Group a pillar in ensuring national energy security.
In 2024, in the context of global political and economic fluctuations, the Vietnamese coal industry had to face many difficulties and challenges, especially super typhoon No. 3 - Yagi, which caused serious damage to Quang Ninh province, the coal industry, including Vang Danh Coal Company.
However, above all, the company's staff and workers have promoted the tradition of "Discipline and unity" of the Mining working class, the tradition of solidarity and creativity of Vang Danh Miners, quickly overcame the consequences caused by storms and floods, and stabilized production.
Thanks to that, all political tasks assigned by the group have been basically completed, all aspects of workers' lives have been cared for; the average income has reached nearly 21 million VND/person/month, the budget contribution has been over 1,070 billion VND, humanitarian, charity, social security activities have also been carefully taken care of by the company, always being a bright spot in Uong Bi City, where the unit is located.
In the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang hopes that with its heroic tradition, the company will continue to overcome all difficulties and affirm its position in the Vietnamese coal industry.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that the company continue to focus on managing and effectively exploiting national resources, promoting the application of modern technology, automation, and digitalization in production to improve productivity and efficiency; focusing on environmental protection, continuing to promote the realization of the goal of "Greening the mining environment". Continuing to reform institutions, implementing savings, and streamlining the apparatus.
At the same time, the company needs to continue to take better care of workers' lives, increase income, improve working conditions, ensure labor safety, and effectively implement social security programs such as "Union Shelter" so that workers can truly feel secure and attached to their jobs and the company.
