On October 13, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation announced that the Thuong Xuan Commune Labor Union had just held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
Thuong Xuan Commune Trade Union was established on July 1, 2025 under Decision No. 664/QD-LDLD of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, consisting of 14 grassroots trade unions with more than 5,100 union members.
After more than three months of operation, the Commune Trade Union has soon stabilized its organization, completed the Executive Committee and effectively implemented key tasks.
The commune trade union has focused on propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and the resolutions of the Trade Union organization to union members and workers; maintaining the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.
100% of grassroots trade unions of public service units organize conferences for civil servants and employees; over 75% of enterprise trade unions organize dialogues and collective bargaining according to regulations.
In a short time, the Thuong Xuan Commune Union has guided the admission of 109 new union members, established and consolidated many grassroots unions, gradually affirming its role as a representative, caretaker, and companion to union members and workers.
The Congress agreed on the direction for the 2025-2030 term with the goal of building a strong and comprehensive Thuong Xuan Commune Trade Union, taking union members and workers as the center, innovating the methods of operation, improving the quality of care and protection of rights.
Strive to have 7,000 union members in the whole commune by 2030, 100% of grassroots unions implementing democratic regulations and 90% of enterprises organizing negotiations and signing collective labor agreements.
The representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged the efforts of the Thuong Xuan Commune Labor Union in quickly stabilizing the organization and implementation of synchronous and effective activities, affirming the role of the trade union organization in the grassroots political system.
At the same time, he requested the new Executive Committee to continue to innovate and be flexible in its methods of operation, in line with the practical needs of union members and workers; promote its core role in the emulation movement, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals.
