At the Forum "Trade Union members studying and following Uncle Ho to compete in good labor, high productivity, and good income", held on the morning of May 19, Ms. Dinh Thi Mai affirmed that the Forum is a very meaningful activity on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026); encouraging, motivating, and motivating trade union levels nationwide to effectively implement the activities of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
The forum is even more profound when it takes place before the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress with the belief, spirit, vision and aspiration to build a strong and prosperous country, build a strong Vietnam Trade Union organization and a modern and strong working class, truly a class leading the revolutionary cause through the vanguard team of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Ms. Dinh Thi Mai emphasized that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style has become an intrinsic need of cadres, party members and all classes of our people, including trade union officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers.

In the new era of national development, "practicing" Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style is not only a requirement for innovation in organization and implementation but also an important driving force to promote development. That is the spirit of responsibility, the will to innovate, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good; it is a specific result in work, labor, and production.
Ms. Dinh Thi Mai highly appreciated the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's initiative to organize the Forum: "Trade Union members study and follow Uncle Ho to compete in good labor, high productivity, and good income". That is the core triad of values for workers to rise up to master themselves, master businesses and make worthy contributions to the rich, prosperous, and powerful development of the country.
The Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization and Propaganda said that the Forum unanimously affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh's ideology on the working class, trade union organizations, patriotic emulation movements, creative labor and care for the lives of workers still retains its deep theoretical and practical values in the context of the country entering a new stage of development.
Many papers have deeply analyzed his thoughts on the organization of Trade Unions in the work "Duong Kach Menh"; on building a team of trade union officials close to the people, respecting grassroots levels; on the role of science, technology, initiatives, and technical innovations in improving labor productivity and sustainable development.
Opinions at the Forum showed that studying and following Uncle Ho needs to be strongly shifted to "practice" with specific actions, specific products and real effectiveness in each agency, unit, and enterprise.
That is the spirit of innovation, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility; is promoting initiatives, technical improvements, application of science and technology, digital transformation; is building industrial style, labor discipline, worker culture and a humane, harmonious, progressive working environment.
The forum especially recorded many effective models and ways of doing things from the practice of trade unions at all levels and businesses such as: promoting the movement of good labor, creative labor; improving the effectiveness of dialogue at the workplace; caring for the material and spiritual life of workers; linking labor productivity with income and welfare; innovating emulation and commendation work; promoting the role of workers in applying science and technology and building corporate culture.
Many opinions affirm that to arouse the motivation to contribute, it is necessary to create a mechanism for initiatives to be recognized, workers to enjoy the fruits of development, and benefits between workers and businesses to be harmonized.
The forum also emphasized the requirement to build a team of trade union officials who are truly close to the grassroots level, understand workers, are close to reality, and reduce bureaucracy in operations; taking union members and workers as the center of all trade union activities.
At the same time, it is necessary to continue to improve the mechanism for detecting, supporting, fostering and replicating advanced examples, skilled workers, and creative workers; build an environment for each union member and worker to have the opportunity to study, train, contribute and grow.
To promote the results of the Forum, immediately after this Forum, Ms. Dinh Thi Mai requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to direct trade union levels to implement a number of key tasks as follows:
First, continue to promote propaganda and widespread education about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style among cadres, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers; making studying and following Uncle Ho truly become a spiritual foundation, driving force for development and cultural values in each agency, unit, and enterprise.
The focus is to strongly arouse the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance, self-strengthening, aspiration to contribute, spirit of responsibility, industrial style and labor culture of the Vietnamese working class in the new era.
Second, concretize the practice of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in emulation movements, closely linked to the task of socio-economic development, improving labor productivity and human resource quality.
Trade union levels need to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of organizing the "Good Labor" emulation movement, taking productivity, quality, efficiency, initiative value and contribution level of workers as a measure; creating an environment for each union member and worker to promote initiatives, technical improvements, application of science and technology, digital transformation, improve skills and professional bravery.
Third, focus on building a mechanism to detect, nurture, honor and replicate advanced examples, typical workers, "skilled workers", creative labor; ensure that emulation truly becomes a driving force for development and commendation is truly recognition, encouragement, and spread of good values in labor, production and work. Pay attention to linking labor productivity with income, welfare, working conditions and development opportunities of workers.
Fourth, build a contingent of trade union officials at all levels who are brave, responsible, deeply involved in the grassroots, understand workers, and are good at organizing movements and dialogues and negotiations; innovate the working style that values the grassroots, is close to union members, is close to workers, matches words with deeds, takes service efficiency, and takes the index of satisfaction assessment of union members and workers as the highest goal of trade union activities.
