According to Mr. Hoang, in the context of increasingly fierce competition in the telecommunications industry, MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation faces many challenges, from the increasing pressure to cut operating costs (OPEX) and the pressure to maintain service quality at a high level to meet customer expectations and international standards.
Practice shows that many operating cost items have not been fully optimized, leading to potential waste. Meanwhile, modern technology solutions such as AI, ML and Big Data, although researched, have not been deployed synchronously, not creating a unified foundation to support decision making.
In particular, long-term cost forecasting and control is still limited, lacking specialized analysis tools, making it difficult to plan strategies and optimize the overall package. The above problems have urged me and my colleagues to seek a breakthrough solution" - Mr. Vu Le Hoang shared.
Mr. Vu Le Hoang's AI, ML Application Solution and Big Data Analysis Initiative to improve the effectiveness of network management costs has been widely deployed across MobiFone's entire network and has brought outstanding values both economically and administratively.
The initiative helps automate operations, currently many inspection, analysis and optimization processes have been taken charge by AI/ML, helping to significantly reduce manual workload, save personnel costs and shorten processing time.
Improve cost management capacity: Concentrated data systems and Big Data analysis tools help detect abnormalities early, make accurate cost forecasts, thereby more effectively controlling the entire operating budget.
Created clear economic efficiency: On average, each BTS station saves 500,000 VND/year. With more than 40,000 stations across the network, the economic benefits bring about 20 billion VND/year.

Mr. Vu Le Hoang said that the journey to realize initiatives is a challenging process. AI/ML is a new, highly complex technology, requiring MobiFone's technical team not only to grasp the theory but also to persistently research and experiment to find effective implementation methods on real network infrastructure. This is a big barrier, especially in the early stages when experience and reference documents are still limited.
However, what creates a great boost for the initiative is the attention, orientation and facilitation of the Corporation's Board of Directors, helping technical staff have an environment to learn, research and approach new technologies in a systematic way.
