In Ca Mau province, 100% of hamlets/quarters have established Community Digital Technology Teams. These teams have modeled and guided more than 210,000 households to install and use digital platforms, accounting for 65% of households in the province; the rate of issued electronic identification (level 1, level 2) has reached nearly 80% of adults. These teams go to every alley, knock on every door to help people access digital technology and digital transformation.
Regarding digital government, the province's administrative procedure information system is assessed by the Ministry of Information and Communications as one of the leading provinces in the country, and was commended by the Prime Minister at the Symposium on online public services at the end of August.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Su - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province - said that digital transformation has been affecting all aspects, in all areas of socio-economic life. From urban to rural areas, from the elderly to the young, from intellectuals to farmers; no matter where, in which field, in which social group, everyone is using and experiencing the benefits of digital transformation.
Mr. Su said that in big cities, more and more people are using ride-hailing apps, buying food and goods online, using electronic banking services... to optimize time and improve quality of life.
In rural areas, more and more farmers are applying technology in agricultural production through farm management applications, using e-commerce platforms to consume products. Not only limited to young people, the elderly are also starting to get used to using smartphones to connect with their families, to monitor their health through medical applications, to update new knowledge...
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province affirmed that with digital transformation, it seems that geographical distance no longer exists; people can talk, meet, work, sign contracts online with partners, can meet with relatives, friends, partners, no matter where they are... with just a few operations on the keyboard.
