17 Southern provinces and cities participate in digital transformation training

The digital transformation training conference in Ba Ria - Vung Tau organized by the National Digital Transformation Agency attracted representatives from 17 provinces and cities in the Southern region.

On September 27, the Ministry of Information and Communications organized a training conference on digital transformation for provinces and centrally-run cities in the Southern region.

Leaders and officials of the Department of Information and Communications of 17 provinces and cities in the Southern region such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Long An, Can Tho, Ca Mau... and representatives of units in Ba Ria - Vung Tau attended the training program.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ms. Tran Thi Quoc Hien - Deputy Director of the National Digital Transformation Agency - said that the training conference aimed to promptly convey policies and orientations for implementing digital transformation and building digital government in the coming time.

The training conference will focus on clarifying the contents and guidelines for digital transformation in 2025; the construction and completion of databases serving the construction of digital government; solutions to improve the efficiency of providing and using online public services; tasks and solutions to perfect the organizational apparatus, improve the capacity of state management to enforce laws on digital transformation. At the same time, the conference also takes time to clarify the main points of amendments and supplements to the newly issued Decree 82/2024/ND-CP.

According to Ms. Hien, the live conference is also an opportunity to exchange, share lessons and experiences and solve difficulties and problems in the implementation process of localities. Each topic will have time to ask and answer related content.

"I believe that the conference will provide useful information for localities; it is also an opportunity to record local opinions in the practical application and implementation of policies and regulations for digital transformation in order to have timely solutions," Ms. Quoc Hien emphasized.

At the conference, Mr. Do Huu Hien - Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province - commented that digital transformation step by step helps change the way of working, develop digital data in State agencies; deploy more application software and services... helping work become more convenient and handle more work, faster; administrative management, social management becomes simpler and more convenient.

"By 2030, Ba Ria - Vung Tau strives to basically complete digital transformation and form a smart city; fundamentally and comprehensively innovate the management and operation activities of the government; production and business activities of enterprises.... Digital economy becomes the core foundation to promote strong economic development and build a safe, humane, and prosperous society" - Mr. Do Huu Hien informed.
