Priority Notifications
Although Apple has indefinitely delayed the more personalized version of Siri, iOS 18.4 still brings a new Apple Intelligence feature: Priority notification.
According to Apple's description, this feature helps display important notifications in a separate area of the lock Screen, making it easy for users to track important information without missing it. Users can still swipe up to see all notifications as usual.
This feature can be customized in the Settings app, allowing for adding or removing apps from the priority list. However, the Priority Notice only supports iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models.
Relaxing background music
One of the most notable features of iOS 18.4 is relaxing background music. Apple has added four new shortcuts to the Control Center, allowing users to activate background music with just one tap:
Wellbeing (Improved spirit)
Chill (Relaxation)
Productivity
Sleep
These shortcuts can be added to the Control Center, assigned to the Action button on the iPhone or displayed on the lock Screen. While each mode will be linked to a playlist on Apple Music, users can completely customize it to their personal preferences.
New emoji set
The second beta of iOS 18.4 brings many new emoji to iPhone users: Facial connotation with the eyeball; Fingerprints;...
Although Apple has introduced Genmoji, allowing users to create custom emoji on their own, adding a new emoji is still an interesting highlight of iOS 18.4.
Apple News+ Food: World of recipes for cooking right on iPhone
The Apple News app on iOS 18.4 adds an Apple News+ Food feature, gathering thousands of recipes from leading publishers.
According to Apple, this feature provides a huge recipe library with a clear, easy-to-use interface. Users can search, filter their favorite dishes, save their favorite recipes for online access. In particular, Cook Mode will display step-by-step cooking instructions on the entire screen, making it easier to do.
