In Premiere, Adobe introduced the Object Mask feature using AI, which allows separating people or objects from the video background and tracking them when moving. Users just need to put the mouse on the object and click, the software will automatically zone and track that object for just a few seconds.
This separation zone has high accuracy from the beginning and can be flexibly edited if needed. Adobe said the entire processing takes place directly on the device and user data is not used for AI training.
The Shape Mask tool has also been strongly improved. The areas separating ellipses, rectangles and brushes can now be created directly from the toolbar, making editing operations smoother and more accurate. Notably, the ability to track objects up to 20 times faster than before, significantly shortening video processing time.
Premiere also supports importing content directly from Firefly Boards - Adobe's integrated AI digital worksheet and fully integrates Adobe Stock right in the software.
With After Effects, the new update allows direct import of SVG files commonly used in Illustrator. The software also adds the ability to create realistic 3D objects from basic shapes such as cubes, spheres, cylindrical shapes or cones, helping to significantly expand the creative space for visual effects.
According to Adobe, these upgrades are aimed at helping editors and content creators work faster, with fewer manual operations, while still controlling the quality and accuracy of videos well.
