Amazon said the name Leo reflects the location of the satellite network in low-altitude Earth orbit. Previously, Kuiper was introduced with the goal of bringing fast, low-cost internet to hard-to-reach areas.
In the newly published documents, Amazon has completely removed the content emphasizing low prices or prioritizing unconnected communities. Instead, the company describes "Leo" as a satellite network that provides high-speed, stable internet for households and businesses.
The "Leo" page also focuses on the ability to make smooth video calls, play 4K and expand for commercial needs. Promotional images show that Amazon directs its services to diverse user groups, but clearly prioritizes the corporate market.
