Two weeks after the launch of iOS 18.3, Apple has just released the iOS 18.3.1 and iPados 18.3.1 update to fix an important security hole that can allow illegal access to human personal data use.
According to the documents, the vulnerability is part of the accessibility feature (Accessibility) of iOS, namely USB (USB Redricted Mode). This is a protective layer that requires password enter to connect iPhone or iPad to computers or other devices via USB port when the device is locked. However, this gap allows the attacker to disable the above protection layer, facilitating theft of data.
Besides iOS and iPados, Apple also released updates for MacOS 15 (Sequoia), VisionS 2 and Watchos 11, but does not mention any security patch on these operating systems.
Earlier, the iOS 18.3 update has brought many notable improvements, including fixing the keyboard error disappeared when entering the query in Siri, re -calculating the continuing calculation feature when pressing the "=" button on Computer application, as well as change the way it is italic on the AI newsletter.
Software updates not only help improve performance but also play an important role in protecting personal data against increasingly sophisticated security risks.
With iOS 18.3.1 and iPadOS 18.3.1, Apple continues to express the commitment to protect users from potential threats. To ensure information security, users should regularly check and update the device to the latest version, limit the risk of attack and exploit security holes.
