According to technology sources, Apple's upcoming announcements will revolve around chip updates, instead of introducing completely new designs.
On Weibo, the "Fixed Focus Digital" account said that the announcements expected to take place next week mainly relate to devices that are refreshed with generation-by-generation chip upgrades, without many breakthrough changes in appearance.
Earlier this month, Apple invited the media to attend the "Apple Experience" event in New York, London and Shanghai on March 4. Today, CEO Tim Cook also hinted at "an important week ahead", with announcements starting from Monday.
Products rumored to be coming soon include successors to iPhone 16e, standard iPad, iPad Air, MacBook Air M4, MacBook Pro M4 Pro and M4 Max, along with Apple TV and HomePod. However, most are just chip upgrades.
The most notable device may be the cheap MacBook model, expected to use the A-series chip originally intended for iPhone. The machine is said to have a 12.9-inch LCD screen, many youthful color options and the ability to reuse components from existing products.
Devices with major design changes, such as the first foldable screen iPhone, smart home control center or MacBook Pro using M6 chip, are expected to appear in the second half of this year.
