According to sources, instead of being called AirPods Pro 4, the new headset model will be a higher-end version of AirPods Pro 3. This approach is similar to the AirPods 4 line, which has two options: standard version and active noise cancellation (ANC) version.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and many sources in the Apple watch community said that the new generation AirPods Pro will be equipped with micro-infrared cameras. According to Kuo, these cameras will support gesture control in space and bring an enhanced sound experience when combined with Vision Pro.
There is information revealed that infrared cameras will help AirPods Pro connect more deeply with Apple Intelligence. Visual Intelligence is said to become a core feature on the camera-based AirPods Pro version, as well as other AI wearable devices from Apple in the future.
If these rumors are correct, the AirPods Pro 3 line may have two versions: AirPods Pro 3 priced at $249 and AirPods Pro 3 integrated camera priced at around $299 - $349 or higher.
