Reasons to upgrade to Windows
Microsoft stops supporting Office applications (also known as Microsoft 365 Apps) on the Windows 10 platform, which means that users should upgrade to Windows 11 to ensure performance and security.
Microsoft 365 applications will no longer be supported on Windows 10 after the operating system ends support on October 14, 2025, Microsoft said. Previously, operating systems such as Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 were in a similar situation.
This does not mean that after the above time, you will not be able to use word, Excel or Outlook on Windows 10.
However, stopping support means that these applications will no longer receive updates on security, performance and compatibility, easily leading to errors, security risks and reduced work efficiency.
Windows 10 users can upgrade to Windows 11 for free. However, the upgrade depends on whether your computer meets the technical requirements or not.
One of the biggest barriers is the requirement for TPM 2.0 chips, which are not available on many older models.
To check competitiveness, you can access the following items:
Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check the update.
If the device meets the requirements, users can download and install Windows 11 to continue to receive full support from Microsoft, especially for important work tools such as Microsoft 365.
How to install
enter the Check the update section as shown above. If there is an upgrade notification, just click "Download and install".
For safety, back up your data before upgrading. If you don't see the option, you can use PC Health Check or the Installation Assistant tool from Microsoft's official website to check and upgrade.
The process is automatic, data and applications are still kept unchanged.
