The Department of Science and Technology (KH-CN) of Quang Binh province said that in the first 6 months of 2025, digital transformation work in the area was implemented synchronously and effectively, contributing significantly to the process of administrative reform, innovation and technical infrastructure preparation for the time of provincial merger.
The Department of Science and Technology has advised the Provincial People's Committee to complete the Steering Committee for Receiving and Handling feedback on the scene; issue a plan to propagate and promote the Quang Binh Digital Citizen application (QUANG BINH-S); organize the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation of Quang Binh province for the period 2025-2030.
The unit has also coordinated with relevant agencies to organize a delegation of provincial cadres to participate in training and fostering digital transformation according to a cooperation agreement with Viettel Group; organize online training classes on the MOOCs platform; and at the same time, advise on successfully organizing the launching ceremony of the "Digital education program", an outstanding program to popularize digital skills for people in remote areas.
In the last months of 2025, the Department of Science and Technology will continue to implement plans to ensure infrastructure, digital platforms, and information systems operate stably and continuously in the process of implementing the Resolution on merging Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces.
The unit will also focus on implementing contents related to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP of the Government and action plans of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on digital transformation and innovation.
One of the notable new activities is the organization of compilation and dissemination of documents related to artificial intelligence (AI) for cadres and civil servants of departments, branches; People's Committees at the commune level; educational institutions and enterprises in the whole province.
This is considered an important preparation step to put digital transformation and the application of new technology into practice, serving socio-economic development, especially in the context of the locality facing major changes in administration and organizational structure.
