Samsung has long been developing a tri-screen foldable phone, similar to what Huawei launched last year with the Mate XT. Samsung even confirmed the device at its Galaxy S25 launch earlier this year.
The latest information from Phone Arena helps users visualize more clearly this Samsung tri-fold smartphone. Accordingly, this phone will be called the Galaxy G Fold - expected to launch in the third quarter of 2025.
That is a reasonable time, as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are expected to launch in July 2025. But it is likely that this tri-fold phone will only be launched in Korea and China. If users in Europe and the US want this product, they have to import it.

The Galaxy G Fold has a unique design, which can basically turn into a tablet when fully unlocked. Currently, the technical specifications of the device are unclear, but it is likely to be equipped with a 25W charger. This is quite low compared to the opponents.
For example, the Huawei Mate XT, G Fold's direct competitor, offers a 66W wired charger and a 50W wireless charger.
Notably, the Galaxy G Fold will be produced in limited quantities and at a high price, from $3,000 to $3,500. That puts it on par with the $3,500 launch price of the Huawei Mate XT.
In terms of cameras, it is likely that Samsung will reuse the same setup from the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition on this tri-fold smartphone. If true, people will see a phone with 3 lenses of 200MP + 12MP + 10MP.
According to Phone Arena, that would actually give Samsung a camera advantage over Huawei's foldable phones.
