An account on social media X said that Samsung's Gallery app will soon have more Private Album options.
This feature is said to work as a simplified version of secure Folder, allowing users to hide photos and videos right in the Library application, instead of completely separating them as before.
The security directory currently allows locking applications, files, and multimedia data in a separate security area. Meanwhile, Private Album can be a lighter choice for users who just want to quickly hide certain images.
One UI 8 is still in development, expected to improve the ability to control background applications and add more smart prediction features.
Some sources say the first beta may be released later this month, while the stable version will be released later in the year.
However, after the phased deployment of One UI 7, users still need to wait for more to know the official schedule.
If officially deployed, Private Album promises to become a useful tool for those who need privacy but do not want the complexity of Security directory.
This is also a sign that Samsung is continuing to refine the user experience, focusing on personal security needs right in basic applications such as Photo Library.
