From July 15, YouTube will officially apply new regulations in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), to eliminate the situation of mass-produced, repetitive content and lack of authenticity.
This is considered a strong step to protect the quality of content on the platform and encourage creators to invest in original products.
According to the new announcement, YouTube requires creators who want to make money to create original, engaging, and realistic videos.

Contents considered "unverified" such as videos using available models, products created with AI tools, or sketch editing from others' videos will have limited opportunities to participate in making money.
Although YouTube has not published a specific definition of terms such as mass production or repetition, this move is making the content creation community, especially those who use AI to create videos, worried.
The most affected genre could be games, where many channels use virtual representatives and syndicated voice to post a series of videos anonymously.
It is noteworthy that it is not yet clear whether virtual YouTuber channels are those that create videos with digital sharers and voice themselves or not.
Some creators of this type are said to have earned millions of USD from gaming content and chatting with the audience, although they never revealed their real faces.
YouTube insists it does not directly mention AI in the new policy, but focusing on authenticity and precedent can indirectly affect the wave of content creation using automated tools.
If AI videos are removed from the money-making program, many tools that support creating virtual sharers, voiceovers, or automatic videos will lose their reason for existence for the main group of users, YouTubers.
YouTube said it will clarify the new regulations in the coming time. However, one thing is for sure: this platform is strongly shifting towards high-quality content with real investment from humans, instead of letting algorithms and machines take on the majority of creative work as it is today.
