Launching ceremony to become a digital citizen of Ho Chi Minh City

On January 12, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directed the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center to launch "Become a digital citizen of Ho Chi Minh City - Quickly connecting citizens and the government".

This is a follow-up activity to the launching event of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on November 14, 2024, further affirming the companionship with the people, the determination towards the goal of building a modern, friendly and effective digital government, bringing many practical utilities to the people of the Ho Chi Minh City government.

The goal of the event is to launch and spread the movement to promote, increase the number of installations and uses of the Digital Citizen App, raise people's awareness of the role of digital transformation in life and collect feedback from users to upgrade the application, bringing optimal experience to users.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai attended the launching ceremony and emphasized that without digital transformation, the country will not enter the era of growth that the whole country is aiming for.

After officially announcing the launch of the movement "Become a Digital Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City - Quickly connecting citizens and the Government", responding to the theme of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City leaders presented the Digital Citizen App logo to representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the city's socio-political organizations, departments, branches and participating units.

These are the core units and forces in developing and spreading the movement "Become a digital citizen of Ho Chi Minh City" launched at the event; in particular, each member of the core force is the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen Ambassador - the pioneers in becoming digital citizens and actively sharing and supporting others to become digital citizens, strongly spreading the movement.

After the launching ceremony was the Roadshow program (parade), delegates participated in the parade by double-decker bus, combined with a bicycle group around the ceremony area on Nguyen Hue walking street, creating a propaganda highlight.

At the same time, at the exhibition booth at Ben Thanh metro station, people were guided to install and experience the outstanding features of the application, the application's utilities, exchange and answer questions about the application and other attractive activities such as: lucky draw, download the App to receive gifts, interactive minigames.

On this occasion, people were also introduced and guided to other digital services of Ho Chi Minh City such as registering criminal records online, installing VNeID, registering level 2 electronic identification accounts, etc.

To become a Digital Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City, people install the Digital Citizen App of Ho Chi Minh City, connecting with the city government quickly and conveniently. People search and download the application on Google Play (for Android operating system) and App Store (for iOS operating system) with the application name "Digital Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City".
