Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman revealed that Apple is rushing to prepare for the launch of an upgraded laptop next month.
Gurman sources said the company is completing marketing, sales and distribution, while letting inventories of old models gradually run out.
The M4 MacBook Air is expected to still be priced in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, similar to the previous generation. Apple previously introduced the MacBook Air M3 in March last year, followed by a few months of launching the M4 chip on the iPad Pro.
In October, the M4 series continued to be included in the iMac, Mac mini and MacBook Pro. Now, it is the MacBook Air's turn to receive this upgrade.
Although it did not have the M4 chip in its launch last fall, Apple has added a notable improvement: increasing the minimum RAM capacity of MacBook Air M2 and M3 to 16GB, meeting user expectations.
With a regular product upgrade cycle, the MacBook Air M4 promises to bring more powerful performance and notable improvements, especially as Apple increasingly focuses on optimizing hardware and software.
If as predicted, the launch in March will help the MacBook Air maintain its appeal in the market, while strengthening Apple's position in the thin and light laptop segment.
Now, users are just waiting to see if Apple will bring any other surprises at the upcoming event.
