In addition, despite technical barriers and tight policies from international platforms, the ecosystem with 210 active studios (actual figures may be much higher) has launched 27,388 new games (up 13% compared to 2024). With the 33rd position globally in terms of output, Vietnam is proving itself to be a global mobile game production center and has great potential to become a clear export market in the future.

Vietnam ranks 6th in the world in publisher growth rate
According to data from Sensor Tower - GameGeek's companion in the report, Vietnam is currently ranked 6th in the world in terms of publisher growth rate with a rate of 27%.
This figure not only puts Vietnam in the group of countries with the strongest development in the game industry, but also shows the ability to "swim against the current" even when the world industry is tending to shrink.
Currently, Vietnam accounts for 2.3% of the total number of global publishers, firmly in the top position along with major powers such as the US (3.6%), India (2.9%)... This is clear evidence of the adaptability and abundant creativity of the Vietnamese game team in the face of the harsh fluctuations of the international market.
Nearly 95% of total downloads come from foreign markets
Reported data shows that the domestic market currently only contributes 5.5% of total downloads, meaning that nearly 95% of the creative value and output of Vietnamese studios are being consumed in the international market.
This index affirms that mobile games are one of the most successful digital export items of Vietnam today. With the ability to penetrate deeply into large markets, each game product not only brings economic value but is also proof of the brainpower of Vietnamese people silently covering billions of mobile devices globally. In which, India is the largest mobile game download market in Vietnam with 13.93%, followed by populous markets such as Brazil (7.32%) and Indonesia (6.76%).

Notably, Vietnamese publishers are showing extremely good adaptation to customer files in developing countries - where smartphone users are growing rapidly and especially prefer light games like Puzzle or Arcade. This also explains the absolute dominance of the Android operating system with 84% of downloads.
The impressive indicators of production and export capacity in the report have clearly positioned the new position of Vietnamese Games on the world game map. The report is a valuable reference document to help businesses enhance the position of the game industry in the digital economy, creating a premise for building a solid, professional B2B community ready for world-class boosts.
