On August 1, GM Vietnam 2025 officially took place at the Hanoi National Convention Center. The event, co-organized by SSI Digital and Kyros Ventures, under the sponsorship of the National Cyber Security Association, affirmed Vietnam's increasingly prominent position as a digital asset center in the region.
The event attracted more than 20,000 attendees, gathering many investment enterprises, technology startups, banks, management agencies and thousands of individual investors, taking place over 2 days, from August 1-2.
GM Vietnam 2025 brings together more than 200 leading speakers from Vietnam and many countries such as Korea, Singapore, UAE, Hong Kong, USA... including business leaders, technology developers, investment funds and experts in the finance - technology field.
The event also gathered more than 1,000 founders, angel investors, consultants, and representatives of policy-making agencies. This is not only a forum for exchanging trends but also a place to form strategic alliances, develop projects and orient policies - with the goal of making blockchain a popular digital infrastructure in social life.
One of the important highlights is the appearance of influential figures in the financial - technology sector in Vietnam, such as Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of SSI Securities Joint Stock Company; Mr. Thuat Nguyen - Founder and CEO of Kyros Ventures.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung shared frankly about Vietnam's economic development vision, emphasizing the need for generation transition and change of thinking in policy making.
He opened his speech by recalling the year 1986 - the time when the renovation process was initiated, bringing Vietnam from a concentrated planned economy to a socialist-oriented market economy.
On that basis, the Law on Enterprises and the stock market were born one after another, creating a legal corridor for the rise of the private sector, contributing to bringing the country out of poverty and gradually integrating into the global economy.
"Those decisions have given birth to the first generation of ethnic entrepreneurs - those who are brave enough to shoulder the responsibility of national development, laying the foundation for private economy and international integration," Mr. Hung emphasized.
However, according to him, Vietnam is entering a new stage of development, requiring not only inheritance but also a breakthrough in management and policy thinking.
"Vietnam is in the era of national growth, comprehensive development and deep integration, placing a new mission on our shoulders. The newly established development pillars will form a new generation of entrepreneurs - younger, more courageous, more technologically knowledgeable and with a global mindset," said Mr. Hung.

According to him, the current top entrepreneurs are not necessarily the ones to make breakthroughs in the future. The next generation could be young people who are programming in garages, rentals, cafes, or even game clubs - as long as they have aspiration, technology, and a spirit of globalization.
A lot of young people like that are present at today's event. When looking at the list of domestic and foreign financial institutions, investment funds, and technology corporations, we can be confident that Vietnam is not only a place to send greetings, but has truly become a destination for the global technology community, Mr. Hung affirmed.
He also noted that today's youth do not approach the world with old thinking, but with a creative perspective, not afraid to break the mold. If we continue to stick to the old formulas, it will be difficult for Vietnam to create a truly innovative generation.
From there, he recommended that management agencies should soon build a favorable ecosystem to arouse and promote the creativity and great potential of the young generation in creating the future.
SSI President emphasized: Vietnam needs a new generation of entrepreneurs, younger, more confident, more technology- savvy and richer in global thinking. This force will be the foundation to help Vietnam not only catch up with trends but also be able to take the lead, creating new values for the world.
