Apple's annual autumn event is expected to be where the company launches the iPhone 18 Pro, the first folding screen iPhone, Apple Watch Series 12, the fourth generation Apple Watch Ultra and possibly AirPods 5.
However, many devices are rumored not to appear in September but must wait until the end of this year or 2027.
Notably, this fall's event may be absent of the new standard iPhone version. The iPhone 18 is said to be not launched until next spring, in Apple's strategy of dividing the release schedule of new products. Accordingly, the September event every year will focus on high-end iPhone Pro models and the next generations of folding screen iPhones.
iPhone 18 may be equipped with A20 chip manufactured on a 2-nm process. Regarding memory, sources are not yet unanimous. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts the device has 9 GB of RAM, 1 GB higher than iPhone 17, while Jeff Pu believes Apple will increase the RAM to 12 GB. If there is only 9 GB of RAM, iPhone 18 may not fully support Apple Intelligence features.
Models of the iPhone 18 line are also said to use a 24 MP front camera, up from 18 MP. Apple may equip an improved screen with higher brightness and reduced Dynamic Island.
Meanwhile, the iPhone Air launched in September 2025 along with the iPhone 17 line is said to have sales that do not meet expectations. Therefore, the second generation is unlikely to appear in September 2026.
Despite some doubts about the future of this product line, the latest information shows that Apple is still developing a new generation iPhone Air and may launch the device in the spring of 2027, along with iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e.
Apple is said to be adding a second camera to the new iPhone Air to increase attractiveness and be more commensurate with the starting price of 999 USD. The company also wants to improve battery life by increasing capacity or improving energy efficiency.
