An iPhone that automatically opens an application, continuous jump-in ads on the screen or the device runs unusually slowly can be a sign that your device is infected with malware. According to security experts, timely response is a key factor in avoiding the risk of losing data and personal information.
Warning signs and causes
The fact that smartphones continuously display advertisements of unknown origin, install strange applications on themselves, lose battery quickly or use unusual data is often a result of adware, trojan or spyware malware.
These malware are often hidden in free applications, downloaded from unverified sources, or even in the form of fake system updates.
According to a warning from global security company ESET (Slovakia): Useres often do not realize that the device has been hacked until the expressions become apparent, and then the malware can gain deep access to the system.
Things to do immediately
Remove suspicious applications: Access Settings - Applications - check and delete applications of unknown origin, especially recently installed apps that you do not remember have been downloaded.
Restart to safe mode: This helps temporarily prevent third-party apps from working. This makes it easy to identify and handle the culprit who caused the harassment.
Use reputable malware software: Use apps from reputable vendors such as Malwarebytes, Kaspersky, Bitdefender or Norton to scan and remove malware.
Delete browser data and buffer: Access the still and browser section, clear cache and data to remove advertising scripts.
Update the operating system: Make sure the device is fully updated with the latest security patches to close security vulnerabilities.
Restore the original settings (if needed): If the device is still working abnormally after trying the above measures, back up the data and perform a factory reset.
Prevention is still the most important
You should not download apps from unofficial stores or clicking on overly attractive ads. Just one touch can cost you all your personal data.
In the era of mobile transformation, equipping yourself with defensive knowledge and reacting quickly to risks is something that cannot be ignored.
