The new OpenAI tool is said to be capable of adding background music to existing videos or creating a cushion, such as the guitar for a lyrical song. It is not yet clear when this product will be released or whether it will be a standalone application or integrated with ChatGPT and Sora video creator.
According to Techcrunch, OpenAI is collaborating with a number of students from Juilliard School of Music (USA) to label music data to serve the model training process.
OpenAI has previously tested a number of music creation models but stopped before launching ChatGPT. Recently, the company has focused on audio models for converting voice and text.
Meanwhile, many competitors such as Google or startup Suno are also investing heavily in the field of create music, opening a new race in the creative space of artificial intelligence.
