Vivrelle is famous for its high-end rental services, while revolve and FWRD provide designer clothes, with an additional choice of used items. With Ella, users can enter requests such as weekend outfit for singles or What to bring for a trip, and the system will search all three platforms to suggest a complete outfit. Customers can then buy or rent in the same basket on Vivrelle.

According to shareholder shareholder Vivrelle, Blake Geffen, Ella was developed about a year before its launch, with the goal of reducing stress when preparing luggage or choosing daily outfits. The more the tool is used, the more accurate the suggestion will be, similar to how users ask questions to ChatGPT.

This is the second AI tool in the framework of the cooperation between Vivrelle, revolve and FWRD. Previously, the trio launched the Complete the Look application, supporting suggestions for additional products right after customers pay. With Ella, the experience is upgraded, combining rental, reselling and retail services into a seamless multi-channel system.

The fashion world has been looking for ways to personalize shopping for decades, from the idea in the 90s movie "Clueless" to today's digital wardrobes. The current AI explosion is accelerating this process, helping companies both expand their access to technology and mobilize significant capital to develop smart shopping platforms.
