Salesforce has just introduced Headless 360, a new toolkit that allows direct integration of third-party artificial intelligence agents into the enterprise data system.
This move shows a clear shift in the company's strategy, from a traditional software model to an AI-centric approach.
According to the announcement at the annual developer conference of Salesforce - TDX (held in San Francisco on April 15 local time), Headless 360 allows businesses to connect AI assistants such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini or Claude directly to data and processes on the Salesforce platform.
Thanks to that, departments such as sales or customer care can automate many tasks that previously required manual operations.
The difference of Headless 360 lies in its flexible integration capability. Instead of relying on the user interface, AI agents can access the system via API, MCP protocol or CLI command.
This significantly reduces technical complexity compared to traditional connection methods, which require building separate connections and take a lot of deployment time.
This toolkit includes more than 60 MCP tools (bridges for AI to work with enterprise software) and more than 30 pre-configured programming skills, allowing developers to grant direct access to data, processes and nghiệp vụ logic for AI agents.
At the same time, Salesforce also provides a new experience layer, helping to separate the back processing part from the display method, allowing content to be displayed flexibly on many platforms such as Slack, mobile devices or other AI applications.
Another important point is the ability to control AI agents. Headless 360 provides tools to help businesses monitor, test and evaluate AI performance throughout its life cycle.
Features such as A/B testing, work session tracking or score evaluation help ensure AI operates on target and safely.
The launch of Headless 360 takes place in the context that the service software industry (SaaS) is facing many challenges from the AI wave.
Some investors worry that AI may make SaaS platforms obsolete. However, many experts, including Jensen Huang - CEO of Nvidia, believe that AI will not replace it but will take advantage of these systems to operate more efficiently.
Along with Headless 360, Salesforce also introduced AgentExchange, a platform that gathers thousands of applications and AI agents from partners such as Google, DocuSign and Notion. Users can search and activate these tools with just a few steps.
With the new move, Salesforce is betting on a future where AI agents become the main users of software. If this trend continues to develop, the way people interact with technology may change significantly in the coming years.
